Mother’s Day

Our youths had a fantastic meeting last Saturday, in preparation for Mother’s Day 🌹.

Joeys🦘
Our lil Joeys had a paper plane project which was to fold a plane and try it 3 times, each time improving on the distance to see how to make it fly further. The Joeys also did their bit in helping mom's on the special day!

Cubs🐾
Cubs designed a Bingo challenge for Mother' Day based on the 3 acts of goodness – Do good deeds, Say good words, Think good thoughts. They had to come up with 3 things that they can do for mum and then populate the bingo chart with these examples. The end result was a beautiful Bingo chart which was shared with all the other sections to take part in as well.

It was so popular that we decided to extend it for another week so that our youths can also carry out their acts of goodness to Dad and siblings.

Scouts⚜️
Leader Kenshin showed the Scouts how to create a simple Mother’s Day card which they folded on the spot and got the Scouts to secretly to slip it under Mum’s pillow as a surprise on Mother's Day Sunday! They also had to individually take turns to go to their mum and say ‘I love you’ or ‘Happy Mother’s Day’.
