Which section will your child join?

The right section for your child

Scouting is a life long journey and at each stage of your child’s life their needs and what piques their curiosity changes. From Joeys to Venturers, each section has programs specifically tailored to engage your child.

Feel free to contact us and register for 3 free trials, to find out if Scouting is right for your child.

Activities are normally run at the temple, however there will often be events held at other venues which will require written permission from parents for each trip.

Explore the unknown!

Scouts work independently with their patrol, building their personal confidence and leadership. They will connect with the simplicity of nature and the complexities of life to find ways to solve problems with their patrol.

They can choose to explore new and expand on existing adventurous activity interests such as caving, scuba diving, white water rafting and much more. They could be exploring bushwalking trails, survival skills and other adventure in the outdoors.

Scout session: 1 pm to 3 pm

Look Wide!

Venturer Scouts are encouraged to pursue their interests in greater depth, through activities that include exploring wilderness Australia, camping above the snowline or diving on coral reefs; abseiling into a limestone cave or climbing a sheer rock face; and white water kayaking and mountain biking on expeditions across real mountains.

Venturer Scouts drive their own Unit programs, guided by highly trained and experienced adults. Through the Unit program, Venturer Scouts practice and enhance their leadership and planning abilities, develop necessary skills and safety techniques, find a sense of belonging and share the experience of personal development.

Venturer session: 1 pm to 3 pm
