2020 1st Youth Meeting

Our group meets for the first time of the new year with new members, new Leaders, new Venerable and a new Flag!!

We welcomed to our Scouting family our newest members in the Joey 🦘 Sections, Dylan and Michelle👏. They are the first 5 year old Joeys invested under the new program. Just look at the photos, they are so cute. Small in stature but they make it up with lots of enthusiasm on their first day of duty! Keep it up little Joeys 🦘!

After a year of training, we could finally invest and welcome our two new (Joey🦘) leaders - David and Marvin to our Scouting Fam. These two gentlemen (and I mean it), two kind and gentle leaders who hits it well with our Joeys. 😁 Joeys just love to hang out with them.

Then we also have a new Venerable Miao Li replacing Ven. Ru Ding. Ven. Miao Li will continue the work as adviser and provide support to our Buddha's Light Scout group!

We like to take this opportunity to make a shout out to Ven. Shih Ru Ding - Thanks for your guidance and support! We wish you all the best over East and hope to see a new Scout Group sprout 🌱 soon..

On the same day, we had Swan District Commissioner Steve Hunt attend our youth meeting presenting us our own Scout Group Flag 🚩. We are so happy we can't wait but to take a group photo with it.. keep a lookout for us and our new flag at the next WA Scout Event!

After the opening ceremony, we resumed our normal youth meetings with Scout unit busy plotting plans to dominate the upcoming Swantiki ! There is not much time left to the 28 and 29 March weekend. Scouts will need to practise their knots, learn water safety and actually construct a raft before the event! We wish them all the best!
