2020 Joey District Camp

For the very first time, our Joeys had a fantastic weekend attending an overnight district camp at Gumbooya campsite, located within the Ern Halliday recreation camp in Hillarys on 29th Feb. Along with over 60 other Joeys from 5 other Scout groups within in the district, they spent the early afternoon making pirate eye patches, swords, maps, hats and even walked the plank! Then came the best part of the day, playing with the waves on the beach and making sand castles! Just look at their happy faces.

It had been a long day since departing the temple at 8.30 am for the campsite and they were all too pleased to slip into their sleeping bags immediately after campfire and have a good night’s sleep. 😴
